Ruth is the founder of Forest Clouds Nature Therapy, a Shinrin Yoko Practitioner, a Natural Mindfulness and Forest Therapy guide and was recently featured in The Observer Magazine (Sunday Guardian) being listed in the article "20 outdoor adventures for autumn".
It was last July that I had the pleasure of my first Forest Bathing event guided by Ruth in the woods at Hanningfield Reservoir Nature Reserve, so it was great to catch up with her again. If you would like to listen to our discussion, select read more for the link.Read More →

27/07/20Claire takes on a Digital detox Challenge
Claire de Boursac contacted me because she was aware that she had been spending more time on her phone since lockdown when her in-person life shrank. She was still often out in nature and being mindful among the trees, but recently found herself unnecessarily checking emails while out and about or mindlessly scrolling social media in the evening. Whilst Claire’s smartphone use might be considered as minimal compared to most people, she thought that her journey through a number of digital detox challenges would be of interest to her many Instagram followers. In return I agreed to take part in a daily nature-connection challenge set by Claire and each week we would report back how we get on with our challenges. We will also discuss our experiences and on an Instagram Live on Monday 7th September at 7pm.Read More →

But it can be hard to get into the habit of a healthier and more rewarding lifestyle.
However, you may not be aware that you should also add at least 2 hours in nature per week to this list and there is a growing body of scientific research to support it.Read More →
